Privacy Policy

PerfectRV ("we", "us") is a registered trade name of 2832688 Alberta Ltd., a Canada-wide RV marketplace and matching service operated from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (1323 165 St SW, Edmonton, AB T6W 3S6). We connect RV buyers with dealer and private-seller inventory and help owners sell or appraise their RV. This policy explains what information we collect through perfectrv.ca, why, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and anti-spam law (CASL).

What we collect

• Your quiz answers — RV type, who travels with you, tow vehicle, budget range, and similar preferences you choose while using the matcher.
• Contact details you submit — name, email, and (optionally) phone number, plus any question you send us, but only when you fill in a form and press send.
• Messages you send our assistant — if you use the optional chat assistant, the questions and messages you type (and any contact details you provide there). See "AI assistant" below.
• Listing details, if you list an RV — the information and photos you submit about a unit you want to sell, plus the contact details on that listing.
• Approximate location — your province, estimated from your internet connection, so we can show whether matching inventory is available near you. We never ask for or collect a precise location.
• Usage signals — anonymous events such as which quiz step was viewed, used to improve the experience.

How we use it

• To match you with RVs and show realistic price ranges.
• To run our optional chat assistant, which answers questions about a unit and routes you to the right person.
• To respond when you ask for pricing, availability, a viewing, or send a question.
• To notify you about matching inventory — only if you asked us to.
• To measure and improve our advertising (see "Advertising" below).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with: (a) partner RV dealerships, and only as needed to fulfil the specific request you made (for example, pricing on a unit or booking a viewing); (b) on the private-seller marketplace, contact flows both ways only when you ask — if you request a seller's contact details we first confirm your first name and phone number with a one-time text code, then show you the seller's contact and tell the seller a verified buyer (your first name) has it; on a "Priority" listing the seller instead sees your chat messages and chooses whether to share their contact with you; and (c) service providers that run our infrastructure — website and data hosting (Cloudflare, Airtable), scheduling (Cal.com), the AI provider that powers our chat assistant (Anthropic), and communications providers used to reach you.

Advertising

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and related tools to measure whether our ads work. These set cookies and may process a hashed (scrambled) version of your email after you submit a form, used solely for ad measurement and deduplication. You can limit ad tracking in your browser settings and at Meta's ad preferences.

AI assistant

Our site offers an optional chat assistant that can answer questions about a specific RV and point you to the right next step. Using it is entirely optional — you can use the whole site without it. When you do use it, the messages you type are processed by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) so it can understand you and reply; if you share contact details in the chat, those are handled the same way as any other inquiry above. The assistant only provides information and routing — it does not make any automated decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and a real person handles anything beyond a simple answer. On a "Priority" private listing the chat assistant answers on the seller's behalf and the seller can read the conversation and reply — the chat tells you this up front. Chat transcripts are retained on the timeline in "Retention & your rights" below. Separately, photos submitted with a private-seller listing are automatically screened (using Cloudflare's AI) to keep prohibited or irrelevant images off the marketplace.

Email & texts (CASL)

We contact you only about the request you submitted. We send ongoing marketing notifications only if you specifically ask for them. Every commercial message tells you who it is from and how to opt out — an unsubscribe link in emails, or replying STOP to texts — and you can also unsubscribe any time by emailing us. We honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, as required by law.

Retention & your rights

We keep lead information while it is useful for serving you and as required by law. You may ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you — email info@perfectrv.ca and we will respond within 30 days.

For the private-seller marketplace we apply automatic retention limits: buyer chat transcripts and contact details are deleted about 90 days after the last activity; buyer phone-verification records are deleted about a month after the 30-day verification window lapses; sold or expired listings (including the seller's contact details and photos) are deleted about 30 days afterward; and abuse reports are kept up to 180 days. Sellers can also edit or delete a listing anytime from their listing link.

Delete my data

To erase your PerfectRV marketplace data (listings you posted and any buyer chats/contact you submitted), enter your email below — we'll send a confirmation link, and clicking it removes that data. If you also submitted a buyer inquiry that reached our records, email info@perfectrv.ca and we'll clear that too.

Private-seller marketplace

PerfectRV lets private individuals list their own RV and connects interested buyers with those sellers. PerfectRV is only an introduction service — a venue. We are not the seller, not a dealer, and not a party to any private sale. We do not take payment, hold deposits, inspect the RV, or verify its condition, history, mileage, or ownership, and we make no warranty or representation about any listing or seller.

A "Verified seller" badge means only that PerfectRV completed limited checks on that seller; it is not a guarantee of the RV, the seller, or the transaction. Buyers and sellers deal directly and at their own risk — always inspect an RV in person, confirm ownership, and never send a deposit or e-transfer to "hold" a unit. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PerfectRV is not liable for any loss arising from a private-sale transaction or any dealing between a buyer and seller introduced through the service.
